Gudgeonville Bridge
"Gudgeonville Bridge "
Canon EOS 3 w/28-70mm f/2.8L
The Gudgeonville covered bridge is seen amongst brilliant late fall foliage. This covered bridge is one of the
few in Northwest Pennsylvania and was built in 1897. Unfortunately, the bridge is a magnet for graffiti. The
ends, sides, and most of the interior is heavily tagged. Due to this, I digitally modified this image by removing
the offending graffiti and a clearance sign from the end of the bridge. I felt this how the bridge should be
seen, in a slightly more "pure" state than you would see if you visited the bridge. The dark areas on the
lower ends of the bridge are the result of several repaintings. I did not remove that- only the actual graffiti.
